Artist Augustė Daškevičiūtė was born in 1992 in Kaunas. She has been actively creating since 2020, participating in painting plein airs and group exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad.

“Painting is the transformation of emotions into colors, movements, gestures, and forms. In abstraction, I sometimes long for something more tangible, recognizable, and grounding. Most often - a puddle or a lake, which reflect the multilayered sensitivities of existence. For me, painting is a constant search. It helps me to see, to understand, to get lost in discoveries, and then to realize once again that I know nothing.” the artist shares.

About this artwork+

In the painting "Pink Day by the Lake" by Augustė Daškevičiūtė, vibrant colors fill the scene. The sky is a soft blue. Pink hues dominate the foreground. Trees with white trunks reach upward. Green patches suggest grass or foliage. The style is abstract, with bold brushstrokes. Everything feels energetic and lively. It's a playful mixing of natural elements. The colors blend in unexpected ways. Daškevičiūtė uses a modern, expressive style. The painting invites you to feel rather than see.
