Artist Augustė Daškevičiūtė was born in 1992 in Kaunas. She has been actively creating since 2020, participating in painting plein airs and group exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad.

“Painting is the transformation of emotions into colors, movements, gestures, and forms. In abstraction, I sometimes long for something more tangible, recognizable, and grounding. Most often - a puddle or a lake, which reflect the multilayered sensitivities of existence. For me, painting is a constant search. It helps me to see, to understand, to get lost in discoveries, and then to realize once again that I know nothing.” the artist shares.

About this artwork+

This painting by Augustė Daškevičiūtė is lively and abstract. It uses bold, sweeping lines and vibrant colors. There are strong pink, green, and dark purple strokes. The lines loop and curve in an energetic dance. They seem to suggest a swing or a playground. The background is soft, with a blend of green and mauve. The style is abstract expressionism. It evokes emotion through its use of color and form. Augustė Daškevičiūtė captures motion and energy, inviting viewers to feel the scene rather than see exact details. It's a vivid portrayal of outdoor playfulness.
