Laura Aitmanė was born in 1987. She followed her passion for architecture, graduating in 2010 from the Kaunas Faculty of Arts at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, and again in 2012 from the Kaunas University of Technology, specializing in architecture on both occasions.

Nature is Laura Aitmanė’s primary source of inspiration. Her artistic pursuits are closely connected to landscapes, flowers, and animals. She delights in bird watching and takes particular interest in Lithuania’s wild plants, which often appear as motifs in her creations.

Aitmanė’s unique style features expressive, at times slightly rough, brushstrokes. This method enables her to portray nature in a way that avoids both clichés and excessive sentimentality, infusing her paintings with authenticity and vitality.

Since 2020, Laura Aitmanė has been exhibiting her works in solo shows. Through these exhibitions, she continues to investigate and present her fascination with the patterns and beauty found in nature.

About this artwork+

Vibrant blue lupines dominate the foreground of the artwork, stretching endlessly towards a horizon that glows with the warm light of a setting sun. The sunset casts a golden radiance that pierces through a dramatic sky laden with thick, textured clouds of blue, gray, and hints of yellow. The interplay of light and shadow, complemented by the earthy tones of the distant landscape, adds a profound depth to the scene. The brushwork is expressive, enhancing the wild and natural beauty of the lupine field under the captivating sky. The painting pulses with a tranquil and majestic atmosphere, inviting the viewer to pause and immerse themselves in the serene, floral vista.
