Since childhood, drawing has captivated me; even my math and other school notebooks were always covered with various sketches—much to the dismay of my teachers, who rarely praised me for it. After completing my art studies, I became a professional artist, but after a few years, life led me away from the heart of the art world.
During this lengthy period away from my artistic path, I constantly reassured myself that I would one day return. Now, that time has come, and I find myself once again immersed in creativity and the world of art.
The artist has held several solo exhibitions and takes part in group exhibitions both in Lithuania and abroad. Through these events, the public has had opportunities to experience and appreciate a distinctive artistic vision developed over many years.
Works by Egidijus Dapšas have also found their way to private art collectors both in Lithuania and internationally. This growing interest among collectors speaks to the recognition and appreciation received at home and beyond.

The painting presents an abstract landscape of blurred, layered textures and tones that range from deep brown to pale gray. It features broad, horizontal strokes that suggest a vastness, perhaps a panoramic view of a desolate, natural expanse. The bottom layer is dominated by dark browns, giving the impression of an earthy grounding, while above, varying shades of white and gray create a mist-like effect, almost as if clouds are rolling or fog is settling over the scene. Intermittent vertical drips and more pronounced patches of darkness interrupt the horizontal tranquility, suggesting rain or natural decay over time. This creates a visual tension, as if the elements are both revealing and obscuring the view simultaneously. The surface of the canvas is textured, imbued with a tangible sense of raw, weathered material that adds to the overall theme of natural forces at work.
