Since childhood, drawing has captivated me; even my math and other school notebooks were always covered with various sketches—much to the dismay of my teachers, who rarely praised me for it. After completing my art studies, I became a professional artist, but after a few years, life led me away from the heart of the art world.
During this lengthy period away from my artistic path, I constantly reassured myself that I would one day return. Now, that time has come, and I find myself once again immersed in creativity and the world of art.
The artist has held several solo exhibitions and takes part in group exhibitions both in Lithuania and abroad. Through these events, the public has had opportunities to experience and appreciate a distinctive artistic vision developed over many years.
Works by Egidijus Dapšas have also found their way to private art collectors both in Lithuania and internationally. This growing interest among collectors speaks to the recognition and appreciation received at home and beyond.

The painting presents a minimalist, almost monochromatic palette dominated by soft grays and muted whites, creating a sense of tranquility and stillness. The upper portion of the canvas is filled with layers of horizontal strokes and subtle textural variations, suggesting a cloudy, overcast sky or a dense fog. This bleeds into a smoother, lighter middle section, perhaps evoking a distant horizon or the calm surface of a body of water. Toward the bottom, the painting becomes slightly darker, where thin, vertical markings resemble distant trees or reeds. These lines are somewhat more defined than the rest of the piece, yet they still maintain a softness that integrates them into the surrounding ethereal environment. Below, there is a rough, textured strip, mirroring the hues and forms above it, giving the impression of a reflection in water, emphasizing the overall serene and reflective quality of the painting.
