Since childhood, drawing has captivated me; even my math and other school notebooks were always covered with various sketches—much to the dismay of my teachers, who rarely praised me for it. After completing my art studies, I became a professional artist, but after a few years, life led me away from the heart of the art world.

During this lengthy period away from my artistic path, I constantly reassured myself that I would one day return. Now, that time has come, and I find myself once again immersed in creativity and the world of art.

The artist has held several solo exhibitions and takes part in group exhibitions both in Lithuania and abroad. Through these events, the public has had opportunities to experience and appreciate a distinctive artistic vision developed over many years.

Works by Egidijus Dapšas have also found their way to private art collectors both in Lithuania and internationally. This growing interest among collectors speaks to the recognition and appreciation received at home and beyond.

About this artwork+

This painting appears soothing and a bit mysterious. It features soft, muted colors. A blend of grays and whites creates a subtle background. There are sharp vertical and horizontal lines that resemble the structure of buildings fading into mist. The style of "Organic Construction" seems minimalist and abstract. Textures suggest decay or aging. Parts of the canvas look rough, while others seem smooth. Egidijus Dapšas, the artist, often explores textures and abstract forms. This work reflects his unique approach to combining simplicity with depth. It makes you look closely and think about the passage of time.
