Artwork in the room
Since childhood, drawing has captivated me; even my math and other school notebooks were always covered with various sketches—much to the dismay of my teachers, who rarely praised me for it. After completing my art studies, I became a professional artist, but after a few years, life led me away from the heart of the art world.
During this lengthy period away from my artistic path, I constantly reassured myself that I would one day return. Now, that time has come, and I find myself once again immersed in creativity and the world of art.
The artist has held several solo exhibitions and takes part in group exhibitions both in Lithuania and abroad. Through these events, the public has had opportunities to experience and appreciate a distinctive artistic vision developed over many years.

About this artwork+
The painting depicts a serene and monochromatic seascape, primarily executed in varying shades of grey that suggest the calm of a nocturnal ocean. The brushstrokes flow horizontally across the canvas, mimicking the gentle, rhythmic movement of water. In this almost abstract representation, there is a subtle interplay of light and shadow, creating a sense of depth and the illusion of the sea stretching endlessly into the night. The horizon is faintly discernible, where darker tones meet slightly lighter hues, suggesting the vast, open expanse of the sea merging with the night sky. The overall mood is one of tranquility and solitude, as if viewing the ocean under the quiet cloak of darkness.
