Since childhood, drawing has captivated me; even my math and other school notebooks were always covered with various sketches—much to the dismay of my teachers, who rarely praised me for it. After completing my art studies, I became a professional artist, but after a few years, life led me away from the heart of the art world.
During this lengthy period away from my artistic path, I constantly reassured myself that I would one day return. Now, that time has come, and I find myself once again immersed in creativity and the world of art.
The artist has held several solo exhibitions and takes part in group exhibitions both in Lithuania and abroad. Through these events, the public has had opportunities to experience and appreciate a distinctive artistic vision developed over many years.
Works by Egidijus Dapšas have also found their way to private art collectors both in Lithuania and internationally. This growing interest among collectors speaks to the recognition and appreciation received at home and beyond.

The painting showcases an abstract composition dominated by a textured palette of whites, grays, and blacks. Vertical and horizontal brushstrokes create a sense of layered depth, while variations in the intensity of the colors suggest wear and weathering over time. The upper part of the painting has lighter tones, evoking a sense of fading or dissolving elements, possibly suggesting the concept of time slipping away. A darker, more solid mass at the bottom might represent the more tangible, concentrated remnants of moments or memories. The overall effect is one of a visual space where the past seems to be melting into a fluid, indistinct present.
