Since childhood, drawing has captivated me; even my math and other school notebooks were always covered with various sketches—much to the dismay of my teachers, who rarely praised me for it. After completing my art studies, I became a professional artist, but after a few years, life led me away from the heart of the art world.
During this lengthy period away from my artistic path, I constantly reassured myself that I would one day return. Now, that time has come, and I find myself once again immersed in creativity and the world of art.
The artist has held several solo exhibitions and takes part in group exhibitions both in Lithuania and abroad. Through these events, the public has had opportunities to experience and appreciate a distinctive artistic vision developed over many years.
Works by Egidijus Dapšas have also found their way to private art collectors both in Lithuania and internationally. This growing interest among collectors speaks to the recognition and appreciation received at home and beyond.

The painting features an abstract composition with a textured surface. The use of muted colors and various materials creates a patchwork of different sections. On the left, a large blue-gray rectangle stands out, its surface shimmering slightly as if catching light. Next to it, a rough-textured white area with streaks and drips suggests wear or age. Across the center, there seems to be a division created by a darker strip, possibly representing a shadow or barrier. Tattered elements resemble foliage or torn fabric, adding to the sense of decay or abandonment. The overall mood conveys desolation or the vestiges of a once vibrant place, now quiet and still.
