Since childhood, drawing has captivated me; even my math and other school notebooks were always covered with various sketches—much to the dismay of my teachers, who rarely praised me for it. After completing my art studies, I became a professional artist, but after a few years, life led me away from the heart of the art world.
During this lengthy period away from my artistic path, I constantly reassured myself that I would one day return. Now, that time has come, and I find myself once again immersed in creativity and the world of art.
The artist has held several solo exhibitions and takes part in group exhibitions both in Lithuania and abroad. Through these events, the public has had opportunities to experience and appreciate a distinctive artistic vision developed over many years.
Works by Egidijus Dapšas have also found their way to private art collectors both in Lithuania and internationally. This growing interest among collectors speaks to the recognition and appreciation received at home and beyond.

The painting features a predominantly gray and white palette with abstract forms and textures. Vertical streaks and drips of darker gray and black colors suggest motion or the passage of time, descending from the top toward the bottom of the canvas. The upper area shows concentrated patches of darker hues, almost appearing like shadows or silhouettes that gradually disperse as they move downward. Toward the middle, intermittent specks and blotches interrupt the vertical flow, drawing attention to their irregular forms against the more uniform background. The overall effect is both hazy and structured, evoking a sense of depth and introspection.
