Since childhood, drawing has captivated me; even my math and other school notebooks were always covered with various sketches—much to the dismay of my teachers, who rarely praised me for it. After completing my art studies, I became a professional artist, but after a few years, life led me away from the heart of the art world.

During this lengthy period away from my artistic path, I constantly reassured myself that I would one day return. Now, that time has come, and I find myself once again immersed in creativity and the world of art.

The artist has held several solo exhibitions and takes part in group exhibitions both in Lithuania and abroad. Through these events, the public has had opportunities to experience and appreciate a distinctive artistic vision developed over many years.

Works by Egidijus Dapšas have also found their way to private art collectors both in Lithuania and internationally. This growing interest among collectors speaks to the recognition and appreciation received at home and beyond.

About this artwork+

This painting by Egidijus Dapšas is intriguing. It's filled mostly with soft whites and grays. On the left, there's a hint of dark, rusty reds and deep browns. This dark area looks rough, almost corroded. The rest of the painting is more open, lighter, giving a sense of calm. Egidijus Dapšas has used a style that seems quite abstract. He plays with textures and contrasts. The rough against the smooth makes you feel the tension and release in the painting. The style is very expressive. It lets you imagine many things, like looking into clouds and seeing different shapes. The title "Inner Power" fits well. The burst of dark colors might represent inner strength or emotions, standing out against the peace of the lighter areas. It's a beautiful piece, thoughtful and deep.
