Artwork in the room
Since childhood, drawing has captivated me; even my math and other school notebooks were always covered with various sketches—much to the dismay of my teachers, who rarely praised me for it. After completing my art studies, I became a professional artist, but after a few years, life led me away from the heart of the art world.
During this lengthy period away from my artistic path, I constantly reassured myself that I would one day return. Now, that time has come, and I find myself once again immersed in creativity and the world of art.

About this artwork+
The painting "Imaginary World" by Egidijus Dapšas is a complex artwork, swirling with an intriguing mix of muted grays, whites, and hints of darker shades that suggest depth and texture. The composition resembles a dense fog or a deluge of rain, with vertical and horizontal streaks creating a semblance of chaos that is both raw and controlled. These strokes, although seemingly haphazard, coalesce into a texture that evokes the surface of an aged wall or an ancient manuscript worn by time. The scattered instances of darker hues peek through the lighter shades, lending an almost ethereal, mysterious quality to the work—like glimpsing a shadowy figure or a hidden structure through a misty veil. This abstract canvas invites one to pause and delve into the pockets of obscurity, searching for form and meaning within the elusive layers of paint.
