Since childhood, drawing has captivated me; even my math and other school notebooks were always covered with various sketches—much to the dismay of my teachers, who rarely praised me for it. After completing my art studies, I became a professional artist, but after a few years, life led me away from the heart of the art world.
During this lengthy period away from my artistic path, I constantly reassured myself that I would one day return. Now, that time has come, and I find myself once again immersed in creativity and the world of art.

About this artwork+
This painting, "Eclipse" by Egidijus Dapšas, features a somber and mystical aesthetic. Dark, murky shades dominate the top of the canvas. These gradually lighten as they descend. Near the bottom, the colors become a soft blend of beige and gray. There are visible streaks and smudges throughout, adding texture and depth. The style is abstract and evocative, using layers and gradations of color to create an emotional impact. Dapšas' work here reflects a minimalist approach, focusing on color and form rather than detail. This style can stir deep feelings and thoughts in the viewer. It's like watching shadows and light play across a surface, simple yet profound.
