Artwork in the room
Since childhood, drawing has captivated me; even my math and other school notebooks were always covered with various sketches—much to the dismay of my teachers, who rarely praised me for it. After completing my art studies, I became a professional artist, but after a few years, life led me away from the heart of the art world.
During this lengthy period away from my artistic path, I constantly reassured myself that I would one day return. Now, that time has come, and I find myself once again immersed in creativity and the world of art.

About this artwork+
This painting by Egidijus Dapšas, titled "Eccentric," is visually striking. It consists mainly of black, white, and brown patches and streaks spread across the canvas. The texture looks rough, almost as if layers have been scraped or weathered away. The style of the painting falls into abstract expressionism. This style often uses techniques and visuals like splatters and broad strokes that engage and challenge the viewer's imagination and emotional response. In "Eccentric," the contrast between the dark and light areas, as well as the heavy textures, can evoke a sense of decay or ancient walls. Egidijus Dapšas is known for his abstract works, which often explore deep, raw emotions and concepts through potent visual dynamics. This painting is a good example of his powerful style.
