Since childhood, drawing has captivated me; even my math and other school notebooks were always covered with various sketches—much to the dismay of my teachers, who rarely praised me for it. After completing my art studies, I became a professional artist, but after a few years, life led me away from the heart of the art world.
During this lengthy period away from my artistic path, I constantly reassured myself that I would one day return. Now, that time has come, and I find myself once again immersed in creativity and the world of art.

About this artwork+
This painting by Egidijus Dapšas, titled "Double Double," shows an intriguing abstract design. The canvas is mostly covered with shades of brown and gray. Two dark, almost black figures stand out against the lighter background. They look like shadows or ghostly forms. Their surfaces are textured, somewhat cracked, which adds a mysterious quality. The style of the painting is abstract and minimalist. Dapšas uses subtle textures and a limited color palette to evoke emotions and thoughts. This piece may make viewers feel a range of emotions, from calmness to curiosity. Dapšas effectively uses ambiguity and subtle contrasts to captivate his audience.
