Artwork in the room
Since childhood, drawing has captivated me; even my math and other school notebooks were always covered with various sketches—much to the dismay of my teachers, who rarely praised me for it. After completing my art studies, I became a professional artist, but after a few years, life led me away from the heart of the art world.
During this lengthy period away from my artistic path, I constantly reassured myself that I would one day return. Now, that time has come, and I find myself once again immersed in creativity and the world of art.

About this artwork+
This painting by Egidijus Dapšas, named "Concern," showcases layers of horizontal bands in earthy hues. The tones range from dark navy and deep browns to creamy whites. These bands seemingly fade into each other, creating a soft, blurred effect. The artwork has a sense of calm but also a deep, contemplative mood. This could reflect the title, suggesting layers of thought or emotions. Dapšas employs a minimalist style. He uses texture and subtle color variations to add depth and interest. Grainy effects can be seen, especially where the colors meet, lending an organic feel to the work. The simplicity and the choice of colors might evoke a natural landscape or the vastness of the horizon line. Egidijus Dapšas is known for such abstract expressions, where emotion and atmosphere are conveyed through color and form. In this work, he effectively captures a profound emotional tone, inviting the viewer to pause and reflect.
