Since childhood, drawing has captivated me; even my math and other school notebooks were always covered with various sketches—much to the dismay of my teachers, who rarely praised me for it. After completing my art studies, I became a professional artist, but after a few years, life led me away from the heart of the art world.
During this lengthy period away from my artistic path, I constantly reassured myself that I would one day return. Now, that time has come, and I find myself once again immersed in creativity and the world of art.
The artist has held several solo exhibitions and takes part in group exhibitions both in Lithuania and abroad. Through these events, the public has had opportunities to experience and appreciate a distinctive artistic vision developed over many years.
Works by Egidijus Dapšas have also found their way to private art collectors both in Lithuania and internationally. This growing interest among collectors speaks to the recognition and appreciation received at home and beyond.

The painting presents a subdued color palette dominated by shades of gray and hints of brown. Its composition consists of layered, textured strokes, giving it depth. The upper third features darker colors, suggesting a heavy, perhaps stormy sky, which transitions smoothly into a lighter, misty middle section reminiscent of a foggy horizon. Patches of an underlying darker layer seem to bleed through the lighter grays, creating a blurred, indistinct boundary. Further down, the colors darken slightly, hinting at a reflective water surface or shadowed area.
