About this artwork+
The painting depicts the back view of a woman standing against a mottled beige and tan backdrop. Her auburn hair is loosely gathered at the nape of her neck, strands elegantly tumbling down. The woman's skin is warmly lit, with soft light accentuating the graceful contours of her back and arms, which she crosses behind her. Intricate red markings, similar to fine brush strokes or scars, run down her spine and across her lower back, subtly catching the eye with their vivid contrast. Her white bottoms are partially visible, adding a delicate balance to the composition's overall softness and warmth.
