Artwork in the room
I would describe myself as someone who lives with watercolour, immersed within it. I am captivated by its delicacy, its unpredictability, and the special way it responds to water. My inspiration often comes from nature, so flawlessly crafted by God. At the same time, the vibrant energy of city life also draws me in—the noise, the activity, the shifting shadows on buildings in the sunlight, or the reflections shimmering on wet streets after rain. Colour holds particular significance for me; the palette I select shapes the evolution, spirit, and mood of each piece. Through my art, I invite you to imagine, to escape to a place of tranquility and goodness… Enigmatic, yet safe… Wishing you a pleasant journey!
Raimonda Rauluševičienė is an artist whose creative path is closely linked to the expressive, fluid nature of watercolour. Drawn to how light and colour interact, she surrenders to the spontaneous qualities of water and pigment, creating artworks that stir feelings of awe and calm.
Her explorations revolve around themes that are both personal and universal, often sparked by the beauty of the natural world and the ever-changing cityscape. Her paintings encapsulate fleeting scenes—the dance of shadows, sunlight glinting, and the interplay of reflections on wet pavement. Each work offers viewers a moment to pause, reflect, and embark on a gentle journey through colour, mood, and imagination.

About this artwork+
The painting depicts a serene, atmospheric waterfront scene, seemingly at either dawn or dusk, where the light and colors blend softly into each other. Small boats are scattered across the calm water, reflecting slightly in the undisturbed surface. On the left, there are hints of a shoreline or docks, composed of darker, murky hues like deep browns and muted blacks, contrasting with the lighter blues and whites of the water. Wisps of what appear to be trees or distant vegetation emerge in faint brush strokes, blending into the sky or possibly a distant fog. The overall palette is subdued, dominated by earth tones and muted blues, conveying a quiet, almost melancholic mood typical of a secluded fishing village.
