Natalija Ranceva is an artist whose artistic journey began in her childhood, marked by an innate affinity for creative expression. While she initially devoted herself to the exact sciences, her trajectory shifted significantly when her daughter entered art school—an event that rekindled Natalija’s own enthusiasm for art and inspired her to pursue it with genuine commitment.

In 2018, Natalija graduated from the adults programme at Vilnius Justinas Vienožinskis Art School, an experience that profoundly influenced her methods of artistic creation. This formal training equipped her with essential techniques and skills, enabling her to delve deeper into her creative instincts and cultivate her distinctive style.

Natalija’s approach to art is defined by ongoing self-discovery. She delights in exploring diverse techniques and has not confined herself to any particular medium or style, believing that her artistic decisions fluctuate according to her emotional state. This adaptability enables her to embrace new possibilities and to express multiple dimensions of her inner life.

Taking inspiration from the world around her, Natalija maintains that authentic art conveys personal experience. Through her artistic work, she aims to share her uncertainties, revelations, moments of awe, and steadfast convictions, inviting viewers to engage with the richness of her emotional and creative experience.

About this artwork+

The painting captures a quaint and colorful street scene, vividly rendered with a loose and expressive brushwork style. The architecture, characterized by rounded forms, includes domed rooftops and elaborate facades, suggesting a historical setting. Predominant colors are warm tones of red, yellow, and blue, with touches of white that highlight the structures. A tower with a small, onion-shaped dome and a spire rises prominently against the sky, adding vertical depth to the scene. The streets appear almost deserted, focusing the viewer on the rich textures and colors of the buildings. The painterly technique gives the scene an almost dreamlike quality, with soft edges and mottled color transitions, creating an atmosphere of nostalgic charm.
