Natalija Ranceva is an artist whose artistic journey began in her childhood, marked by an innate affinity for creative expression. In 2018, Natalija graduated from the adults programme at Vilnius Justinas Vienožinskis Art School, an experience that profoundly influenced her methods of artistic creation. This formal training equipped her with essential techniques and skills, enabling her to delve deeper into her creative instincts and cultivate her distinctive style.
Natalija’s approach to art is defined by ongoing self-discovery. She delights in exploring diverse techniques and has not confined herself to any particular medium or style, believing that her artistic decisions fluctuate according to her emotional state. Taking inspiration from the world around her, Natalija maintains that authentic art conveys personal experience. Through her artistic work, she aims to share her uncertainties, revelations, moments of awe, and steadfast convictions, inviting viewers to engage with the richness of her emotional and creative experience.
About this artwork+
The scene unfolds on an outdoor riverside café at dusk, where the sky bursts with hues of blue, yellow, and pink. The foreground features a river promenade bordered by a metal railing and scattered with metal chairs near small round tables, one of which holds a lone ashtray. Several white, fabric-covered umbrellas stand tall, though closed, suggesting an evening atmosphere as the place clears out. On the promenade, a group of people is depicted in mid-motion; their outlines and attire rendered in breezy, casual strokes of pastel colors, casting subtle shadows against the sun-warmed stone ground. On the left, the setting includes historic, somber-toned buildings with classic architectural features, facing the river. These structures reflect subtly in the calm water, which carries a hint of the sky's fading colors. The entire scene is infused with a feeling of tranquil everyday life pausing as day shifts into night.
