Mantas Daujotas (b. 1993) is a painter and musician from Kaunas, Lithuania. Since obtaining his Bachelor's degree in Painting in 2017, Daujotas has gained recognition as a vibrant and promising young artist. He has presented several solo exhibitions and taken part in numerous group shows, which attest to his increasing prominence in the contemporary art world.
Daujotas's work encompasses a wide range of subjects, including empty buildings, abandoned streets, and even atypical figures like an albino crocodile. Despite this breadth, his paintings consistently convey a sense of emptiness and weighty silence. This mood subtly mirrors an inner anxiety—an emotion that resonates with many people today.
Within Daujotas’s artwork, time seems to come to a halt, rendering his subjects motionless within uncertain settings. The dreamlike, immobilized spaces he creates explore themes of isolation, solitude, and existential unease.
