Lina Audronytė is an artist whose paintings explore the often-overlooked details of daily life, concentrating on commonplace scenes and objects that typically go unnoticed. By viewing her surroundings from unique and unexpected angles, she reimagines familiar visuals—like the courtyards of old apartment buildings, greenhouse-grown tomatoes, or simple flower arrangements—as images that seem dreamlike or surreal. Audronytė, through her art, invites observers to reconsider their habitual ways of seeing, encouraging them to uncover surprising beauty and meaning within the ordinary.
Her artistic method is defined by an intent to awaken her audience from the ease of everyday routines. Lina aims to "pinch" viewers out of their habitual drowsiness, prompting them to engage with their environment in a more vivid and conscious way. Through her creative reinterpretations, she urges people to look more closely and to perceive the remarkable within the familiar.
Audronytė pursued painting at the Vilnius Academy of Arts from 2005 to 2011, establishing the basis for her creative exploration. In 2006, she took part in the ANTIPOPS festival in Kaunas, marking her early presence in the Lithuanian art community. Her artistic path continued with a residency at the Fluxus Ministry in 2012, which represented another milestone in her development as an artist.
Beginning in 2019, Lina became increasingly active, taking part in more art projects and exhibitions. Since July 2020, she has been a member of the online gallery "Art without a Roof" and has participated in the international "COCA ART" project. In September 2020, she curated her first exhibition in Vilnius, titled "Night Activities," held at Ramintojos Church. The majority of the works were created specifically for the Culture Night 2020 project, illustrating her growing artistic voice and her dedication to engaging with the public.
