Artwork in the room
Benas Liandzbergis 2022 finished Master's studies at the Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts, Dept. of Embedded Art (formerly Fresco/Mosaic).
"Creativity is a constant transformation with which I change as well, so the works are very diverse. In the works, I use irony, sarcasm, and paradoxes as my main tools, although one should not get attached to these words. I ask questions about myself, society, our collective choices and how they affect us in the long run. I also record personal experiences that happened or are happening, looking for fragments of everyday life."
About this artwork+
This painting by Benas Liandzbergis is called "Dialogue with Myself." It shows colorful silhouettes of people in front of a building. The figures are in strong, bright colors like blue, green, and orange. One figure seems to be on the ground, surrounded by others. The building in the background is simple and block-like. It has windows and a small entrance. The scene feels tense and confrontational. The style is somewhat abstract, focusing on shapes and colors rather than details. Liandzbergis uses bold outlines and vibrant hues to create emotion.
