All artworks

Aušra Sirutienė Oreigė is an artist who only began exploring the expressive possibilities of watercolour painting a few years ago. Since embarking on this journey, she has sought to master this subtle medium, striving to discover her own distinctive artistic voice. Aušra is especially attracted to producing small-format pieces that are rich in emotional intensity, capturing the energy and atmosphere of the moment in each work.

Her art stands out for its emphasis on botanical and natural motifs. She harnesses the transparency and spontaneous nature of watercolour to evoke the delicate vulnerability of the environment. The paints move fluidly across the paper, mirroring the organic motion of nature, while Aušra expertly finds equilibrium among the elements. She delights in layering light and colour, lending a sense of openness and weightlessness to her paintings.

Though watercolour is a relatively recent focus for Aušra, her relationship with art goes back much further. She graduated from the Department of Pedagogy at Telšiai Higher School of Art, then continued her education at Šiauliai University. Her professional background spans 22 years of teaching art and andragogy at the university level, along with substantial experience leading creative seminars, workshops, and art classes for adults.

Aušra Sirutienė Oreigė has been fully immersed in her creative pursuits since 2014. Her enthusiasm for inspiring creativity in others is equaled by her dedication to cultivating her own artistic voice, particularly within the radiant and evocative realm of watercolour painting.

About this artwork+

The painting presents two figures with serene and subtly connected expressions, facing toward the viewer. Their heads gently tilt towards each other, suggesting a quiet intimacy. Each figure wears an intricate headpiece, reminiscent of crowns or elaborate headdresses, incorporating patterned blocks that look like elements of abstract or architectural designs. The blocks intermingle with delicate branches and leaves that sprout upwards and outwards, blurring into the softly splattered, cool-toned background. The foliage seems to symbolize a growth or connection between the two, hinting at a shared spirit or essence. The watercolor technique gives the artwork a fluid, dreamlike quality, with colors bleeding into one another and creating a sense of depth and emotion. The overall effect is one of harmony and contemplative connection between the soulmates, surrounded by a natural, evolving landscape of color and form.
