Artwork in the room
Arūnas Miliukas is an artist who was born in Vilnius and continues to create his works there. Known for his unique and imaginative style, he has established a notable presence in Lithuania's contemporary art scene.
His work is consistently inventive and unexpected; through his vivid imagination, he brings to life extraterrestrial beings within his paintings, seamlessly blending myth, fantasy, and reality. Delicate colors and a misty atmosphere prompt viewers to wonder if they are immersed in a nighttime dream. His art merges humanity’s deepest questions and reflections: What are our origins? Where do we exist? What is truly real in our lives? Could it be that life, or our world itself, is nothing more than a dream?
Since 1997, the artist has participated in exhibitions across a range of venues, including Vilnius, Amsterdam, Holon (Israel), and Malmö (Sweden). These exhibitions have introduced his work to diverse audiences from various cultures and artistic backgrounds.
The individuality of Arūnas Miliukas’s art has attracted private collectors within Lithuania as well as from abroad, including countries like Canada, the USA, France, Israel, Sweden, and Australia. His creations continue to fascinate and inspire contemplation among viewers worldwide.

About this artwork+
In the painting "Warm Autumn" by Arūnas Miliukas, a lively expression of autumn is captured through thick, vibrant strokes of paint. The foreground is dominated by warm, fiery tones of red, orange, and amber, suggesting the presence of autumn leaves or possibly flickering flames. Darker hues, possibly indicating shadows or deeper areas of foliage, are interspersed throughout, giving a sense of depth and richness. The background contrasts significantly with a muted, light tan color, which might be depicting the sky or a distant surface, obscured by the bright colors in the foreground. Vertical strokes of white and light gray suggest the trunks of trees, fading into the haze. Dotted throughout the canvas are flecks and spots of white paint. These could represent light filtering through the trees, dew, or early frost, adding a touch of brightness and highlighting the textural contrast within the piece. Overall, the painting is dynamic and abundantly textured, inviting the viewer to experience the intense and fleeting beauty of autumn through an abstract and visceral lens.
