Delicate colors and a misty atmosphere prompt viewers to wonder if they are immersed in a nighttime dream. His art merges humanity’s deepest questions and reflections: What are our origins? Where do we exist? What is truly real in our lives? Could it be that life, or our world itself, is nothing more than a dream?

About this artwork+

This painting by Arūnas Miliukas, called "Everyday Life," features a unique and evocative portrait of a woman. Her face is partly obscured by a large, textured hat or headdress. The headdress blends seamlessly into her attire, all adorned with rich, rough textures and a mix of earthy tones and splashes of red and green. The background is simple, emphasizing the figure. A large circular form, possibly symbolizing the sun or moon, hovers above her head, adding a mystical element to the scene. Miliukas uses a thick, impasto technique to create a sense of depth and intensity. This style gives the artwork a vibrant, dynamic feel, as if the elements are alive on the canvas. The painting captures both a sense of serenity and complexity, mirroring what one might consider the essence of everyday life.
