About this artwork+
The painting depicts a vibrant and textured bouquet of flowers, overflowing from a small vase positioned on a surface. The flowers, characterized by thick, expressive brush strokes, are a mix of various soft hues including shades of pink, purple, yellow, and white. Each flower's petals are distinctly streaked with highlights and shadows that give them a dynamic, almost moving appearance. The background is subtle and painted with a pastel blue, blended unevenly, which allows the colors of the bouquet to stand out sharply. The vase, while smaller in comparison to the expansive bouquet, is highlighted in shades of teal and mustard, adding a contrasting color accent to the composition.
