Certificate of authenticity

Every painting you buy in our gallery is an original work of art. With every painting we sell you receive a certificate of authenticity, which guarantees that you are buying a work by that specific artist.

Please note that buying a painting does not transfer its copyright — you do not acquire the right to use the artwork commercially, for example to copy it or produce reproductions.

30-day return guarantee

Our main goal is to help you find the one artwork that truly fits and delights you — it is an object that will decorate your home for a long time and will eventually be passed on to future generations.

Although by law works of art cannot be returned (the seller's consent is required), don't worry — if you have doubts within 30 days of the purchase date, contact us: we will take the work back and refund your money, or offer you to choose another one from our art platform!

Delivery

Delivery time: 10–14 business days. Every artwork ships insured by courier (FedEx/DHL) with a tracking number. Originals are one-off pieces and are packed with particular care. If you need the piece sooner, contact us — we can usually find a solution. For deliveries outside the EU, import duties may apply; these are borne by the recipient.

Returns

As a consumer you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you receive the goods — no reasons needed. Details and the model withdrawal form are in our withdrawal notice (linked in the footer). Beyond that, as a courtesy we accept returns up to 30 days after receipt — an artwork should truly delight you. Contact us and we will find a solution.

All artworks

Violeta Bulavienė is an artist moved by the modest aspects and quiet intervals of daily existence. She perceives significance and beauty in ordinary things—be it a stretch of beach sand, an untouched sheet of paper, or a blank canvas—offering spaces where the day's musings, breezes, and feelings may settle, bringing about a sense of presence and calm. Her creative outlook also gravitates toward the timeless enigmas of womanhood, honoring the unwavering strength and wild essence of women, portrayed as saints or sinners, yet always embraced by love and hope.

Bulavienė’s curiosity includes the personal environment of the home. She observes the nuanced elements, such as the shine of a cup nestled in a corner. Through her artwork, she expresses the dynamic between shadows and light, elevating commonplace domestic scenes into moments of splendor and spiritual resonance, surpassing the usual patterns of everyday life.

Alongside her artistic endeavors, Violeta Bulavienė possesses a substantial foundation in the field of medicine. She completed her studies at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) in 1983 and went on to practice as a neurologist. Her growth as an artist has been fostered by mentors like Genoveta Milevičienė, lead of the art studio "Saulėtekis," as well as the architect and painter Romualdas Šilinskas. She regards life itself as one of her most valuable instructors.

Bulavienė has been a member of the Union of Folk Artists since 1984 and has taken part in numerous national and solo exhibitions. Her artwork has appeared in Germany, Norway, and at the "Aušra" Museum in Šiauliai, Lithuania. Through her creations, she continually reveals and celebrates the remarkable within the ordinary, inviting viewers to notice beauty in spaces and moments that frequently escape attention.

About this artwork+

In the painting, a young woman with dark brown hair and a serene expression sits in a room with a soft amber glow. She wears a bright yellow dress that radiates warmth and is seated in such a way that the dress spills across her lap and the chair in rhythmic folds, suggesting the soft, flowing fabric of her attire. Her head is gently tilted downwards, and her eyes are closed, evoking a mood of introspection or perhaps daydreaming. Her right hand gracefully touches her left shoulder, lending an air of gentle contemplation or momentary pause to her pose. Beside her, a blue book lies open, suggesting a moment interrupted or a brief diversion from her reading. The background contains warm, earthy tones and simple furniture that hint at a cozy, intimate space. A hint of a window or a drawing on the wall to the right introduces some blue and lighter tones, contrasting with the dominant warm palette of yellows and browns. The overall composition and use of color in the painting evoke a quiet, reflective moment captured in time.
