Rooted in academic training, Vidmantas Zarėka demonstrates a strong command of form and composition, yet his practice remains open and exploratory. Moving fluidly between techniques, scales, and motifs, he is driven by curiosity and a willingness to experiment. His works often begin in recognizable reality, gradually loosening into more open, atmospheric compositions.
