About this artwork+
The painting depicts an abstract floral scene, seemingly mid-blossom, captured in a spontaneous and fluid style. Washes of warm hues—crimson, amber, and deep magenta—meld with cooler splashes of purple and green. Within this vibrant storm of colors, the outlines of flowers emerge, predominantly two large blossoms dominating the composition, their forms barely contained by the explosive surroundings. The blooms are not detailed but suggested through nebulous forms, the largest one located toward the bottom of the canvas showing hints of white and pink petals amidst shadows of earthy tones. The backdrop is dynamic, almost chaotic, speckled with myriad flecks and droplets in white and darker colors that suggest either additional floral elements or perhaps the spray of the elements themselves.
