Please note that buying a painting does not transfer its copyright — you do not acquire the right to use the artwork commercially, for example to copy it or produce reproductions.

30-day return guarantee

Our main goal is to help you find the one artwork that truly fits and delights you — it is an object that will decorate your home for a long time and will eventually be passed on to future generations.

Although by law works of art cannot be returned (the seller's consent is required), don't worry — if you have doubts within 30 days of the purchase date, contact us: we will take the work back and refund your money, or offer you to choose another one from our art platform!

Details and the model withdrawal form are in our withdrawal notice (linked in the footer). Beyond that, as a courtesy we accept returns up to 30 days after receipt — an artwork should truly delight you. Contact us and we will find a solution.

Salvija Vaičikonytė (b. 1995) is a vibrant Lithuanian artist and illustrator, recognized among the country's emerging creative generation. In 2015, she earned a degree in Graphic Design from Vilnius College of Technology and Design, which provided her with a solid technical and conceptual grounding for her artistic pursuits. Over the course of her career, she has held several solo exhibitions and taken part in numerous group shows and collaborative art projects, not only in Lithuania but also in Belgium and the Czech Republic, attesting to her expanding international reach.

Vaičikonytė is particularly drawn to exploring the interplay between humanity and the natural world, as well as deep themes such as loneliness and the longing for connection. Her artistic practice is characterized by a minimalist approach, employing few elements and a restrained color palette. Instead, she focuses on subtle variations and tonal shifts to evoke mood and emotion. This intentional restraint serves to heighten the power of her compositions and direct the viewer’s attention.

Vaičikonytė’s style stands out through her use of graphic, stylized lines and reduced, simplified forms. Her works often resemble the aesthetics found in illustration and poster art, defined by bold shapes and crisp outlines. Through this stylization, she succeeds in conveying complex emotional landscapes and stories within images that appear deceptively simple, creating a bridge between fine art and illustration.

Serenity and focus permeate Salvia's creations; the water’s surface remains unruffled by waves, clouds stay motionless above, the wind leaves the trees untouched, and the characters are absorbed either in their actions or in inward reflection, wrapped in a gentle melancholy.

About this artwork+

The painting depicts a serene, mystical landscape at night, dominated by two large, towering trees that symmetrically split the canvas. These trees mirror each other's structure, with trunks marked by swirling white patterns that suggest a whimsical or magical element. The branches at the top cradle a luminous crescent moon, softly glowing against a dark teal sky sprinkled with stars. The ground beneath the trees is a gentle hill, where two solitary figures stand apart from each other, small in scale, each positioned at the base of a tree, perhaps suggesting a theme of companionship or reflection. Distant trees line the background in simpler forms, contributing to the painting's depth and the sense of a vast, enveloping natural environment. Small, white, floating elements add a touch of magic to the air, enhancing the overall atmosphere of tranquility and enchantment.
