About this artwork+
The painting "Courtyard on Saint Ignotas Street" by Rūta Eidukaitytė captures a whimsical urban scene. It shows a courtyard surrounded by old buildings. The buildings appear soft and almost melting, with curvy outlines. There are staircases and archways that add a touch of mystery. The artist uses distorted shapes and a muted color palette. This gives the painting a dream-like feel. Rūta’s style is expressive and a bit abstract. You can see the brushstrokes, adding texture and movement to the scene. Overall, this work invites the viewer to look closer and discover hidden details in the dreamy courtyard.
