Rolandas Butkevičius, a Lithuanian artist, was born in 1964 in Vilnius to a family of actors. Although his upbringing immersed him in the arts, he chose to become a painter on his own initiative, teaching himself the craft.
From an early age, Rolandas delighted in painting and, at just eight years old, he held his first solo exhibition at the theatre where his mother worked. Over the course of his professional life, Rolandas Butkevičius has presented numerous solo exhibitions in different Lithuanian cities. His artwork has achieved recognition in Lithuania and has also been appreciated by audiences abroad.
