About this artwork+
The painting "Blooming" by Rolandas Butkevičius depicts the serene profile of a woman whose head erupts in a vibrant explosion of floral elements, resembling a lush, blooming tree or bouquet. Her eyes are gently closed, and her face emanates a sense of peaceful repose. The background and the ‘floral hair’ palette feature a rich array of colors like greens, pinks, yellows, and whites, suggesting a spring or summertime bloom. The textured brushstrokes energize the canvas, making the flora seem alive and dynamic. The overall effect is both dream-like and earthy, capturing an intimate moment of natural beauty and personal tranquility.
