Rima Rusinova was born in Vilnius in 1959. From an early age, she displayed a keen interest in drawing, which set her on a creative course during her childhood. This enthusiasm prompted her to seek formal training in art within her native city.
She completed her studies at the Vienožinskis art school in Vilnius in 1981, graduating after a four-year program. While at the school, she studied under the guidance of prominent artists such as A. Švėgžda and I. Piekuras, whose mentorship greatly influenced her artistic growth and skill.
Rima Rusinova’s work is primarily focused on landscapes, still lifes, and portraits. She is particularly drawn to depicting people and nature, regarding them as inseparable themes. Through her distinctive outlook, she conveys what matters most to her, frequently weaving motifs from her beloved Vilnius into her artwork to reflect her strong bond with the city.
Active in the art world since 1995, she has held 13 solo exhibitions and has contributed to numerous group shows. In 2013, she became a member of LTS, and in 2016, she was officially recognized as an art creator by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania, in acknowledgment of her achievements in Lithuanian art.

The painting depicts a vibrant and sumptuous still life of fruits rich in color and form. Featured prominently are plump and glossy pomegranates with their rich red skin glowing under a gentle light, displaying hues of pink and orange, and slight shadows suggesting their round, full shapes. Several are whole, and one reveals a peek of its inner seeds reflective of a jeweled heart. Beside them, a cluster of grapes hangs with a luminous touch; they range from a deep, almost translucent purple to lighter shades, each grape delicately brushed to catch the light differently, embodying a realistic texture. A burst of contrasting colors is also seen in a group of plums with their smooth, deep blue and purple-tinted skin. The composition is laid against a soothing turquoise background that enhances the visual depth and presents a fresh, tranquil canvas, making the fruits appear even more alive and inviting. The artwork, bathed in natural light, showcases an artful play of light and shadow, and the colors are harmoniously balanced, bringing a sense of calmness and abundance to the scene.
