About this artwork+
This painting by Regimantas Valiukas features a single, elegant rose. The rose is painted with incredible detail, capturing its smooth, delicate petals and robust, green stem. The background is a soft, muted grey which makes the rose stand out prominently. In terms of style, Valiukas has opted for a highly realistic approach. Every detail of the rose, from the gentle curves of the petals to the sharp thorns on the stem, is rendered with precision. This creates a striking contrast between the flower and the simple background, drawing the viewer's focus entirely to the rose. Regimantas Valiukas is known for such precise and detailed artistry, often focusing on the beauty of the natural world. His technique highlights not only his skill but also his attention to the subtle nuances of his subjects.
