Ramūnas Petrusevičius was born on March 22, 1987, in Širvintai, Lithuania. His early fascination with the arts would eventually shape both his educational path and career. He graduated from Musninkai Secondary School in 2006, which established the groundwork for his future creative pursuits.

From 2007 to 2010, Ramūnas attended Vilnius College of Technologies and Design, where he studied graphic design. Throughout these years, his enthusiasm for graphic arts truly blossomed. He became part of a community of students who shared similar interests, seeking out experiences beyond the formal curriculum and engaging in collaborative projects to explore new artistic techniques and forms.

Gravure graphic techniques serve as the main focus of his artistic work, a field demanding both creative insight and precise technical skill. Nonetheless, Ramūnas has earned recognition for his experimental approach, frequently integrating materials like linen, wood, and cardboard into his creations. This adaptability underscores his dedication to expanding the possibilities of traditional graphic art and his openness to novel methods.

In 2014, his skill and commitment were acknowledged at the twenty-third libris exhibition, where he was awarded a Young Artist Diploma. This recognition marked his rising influence within the graphic art world. Ramūnas Petrusevičius remains devoted to refining his abilities, drawing on his graphic design background and persistent creative curiosity.

About this artwork+

The painting depicts a stylized male figure portrayed from the chest up. He is wearing a quirky hat, speckled with dots and topped with two small horn-like protrusions. The figure’s eyes are exaggeratedly large and round, with the left eye receding slightly into shadow. His nose is prominent and straight, and he sports a dense, bushy beard that seems slightly unkempt, flowing into what appears to be a scarf or a continuation of his beard with frayed ends spreading outwards. The character's facial expression is somber and introspective. He is dressed in a dark, textured garment that contrasts with the simple, light background, focusing attention on his face and upper torso. The overall mood conveyed by the composition is one of contemplation and mild disarray.
