About this artwork+
In the painting "Soul's Friends" by Natalija Kriščiūnienė, the canvas is a burst of vivid colors and abstract forms, intertwined with harmonious intricacy. On the left, nestled against the suggestive contours of a river or path outlined in gold, lies a fox-like animal made of warm oranges and reds, its gaze both alert and serene. The backdrop consists of large, star-shaped figures and fragmented geometric shapes that conjure a dynamic, almost celestial ambiance. Dominating the right side of the painting is a symbolic representation of a human face, tranquil yet mysterious, predominantly in shades of blue and violet, with an eye that penetratingly gazes outwards. The use of light and shadow, along with the contrasting cool and warm tones, invites a contemplation of deeper emotional connections and the mystical union between disparate souls.
