Raimonda Petraitė (b. 1992), creating under the pseudonym Mone Kielė, is a contemporary figurative painter.

In her work, the body is understood not as an image, but as an experience—a site where emotion, control, and resistance intersect.

The artist’s painting is characterized by impulsive gestures, contrasting colors, and tense, often uncomfortable figures. Here, the body becomes a territory in which the boundaries between freedom and constraint, vulnerability and defense are constantly redrawn. Instead of representation, she chooses state or condition—the gesture becomes language, and the posture of the body an emotional code.

The artist graduated from the Kaunas Faculty of the Vilnius Academy of Arts (painting), and later studied at the Faculty of Philosophy at Vilnius University, where she obtained a qualification in pedagogy. She has held solo exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad, participates in group exhibitions, and her works are part of private collections.

About this artwork+

In this painting by Mone Kielė, you see a person. They have long, messy hair and wear a bright pink jacket over a light shirt. Their jeans are loose with a pattern, and they're tucked into cozy boots. A black bag hangs from their shoulder. The style is loose and expressive. Brushstrokes are visible, adding texture. There's a casual, yet bold feel to the colors and lines. Mone Kielė captures a unique appearance with simplicity and energy.
