About this artwork+
This painting, titled "Fiftysixty 5" by Miglė Kosinskaitė, depicts a human face. The face is fragmented into sections with different shades. The top half looks darker than the bottom. It’s like seeing parts of a face from different times or moods merged into one image. Miglė Kosinskaitė uses subtle shades and soft transitions between them. This makes the face look both realistic and surreal. The background is a plain, muted purple that highlights the face further. Her style feels modern yet timeless. It invites us to think about the person’s identity and what they might be feeling. It's intriguing and a little mysterious.
