Marius Strolia is a celebrated Lithuanian artist renowned for his vibrant and versatile creative approach. He has been a member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union since 1999 and joined the "Individualists" painters’ section in 2016. The painting presents a compelling array of brushstrokes predominantly in shades of red and black. The upper section of the canvas is dominated by a deep, vivid red that fades into more muted and darker tones as it descends. This area is interrupted by bold, black horizontal and vertical strokes that create a vaguely grid-like pattern in the center. The black paint in certain sections is heavily applied, giving a textured, almost tar-like appearance. Towards the middle, these black strokes form a concentrated, dark square with visible brush lines, suggesting depth and layering. The lower section continues with the red theme, interspersed with thin, dripping streaks of black that seem to pull the colors downward, enhancing the painting’s dynamic motion. This lower area also shows patches where the red appears more washed out, creating a rust-like effect that contrasts with the vibrant zones.
