Certificate of authenticity
Every painting you buy in our gallery is an original work of art. With every painting we sell you receive a certificate of authenticity, which guarantees that you are buying a work by that specific artist.
Please note that buying a painting does not transfer its copyright — you do not acquire the right to use the artwork commercially, for example to copy it or produce reproductions.
30-day return guarantee
Our main goal is to help you find the one artwork that truly fits and delights you — it is an object that will decorate your home for a long time and will eventually be passed on to future generations.
Although by law works of art cannot be returned (the seller's consent is required), don't worry — if you have doubts within 30 days of the purchase date, contact us: we will take the work back and refund your money, or offer you to choose another one from our art platform!
Delivery
Delivery time: 10–14 business days. Every artwork ships insured by courier (FedEx/DHL) with a tracking number. Originals are one-off pieces and are packed with particular care. If you need the piece sooner, contact us — we can usually find a solution. For deliveries outside the EU, import duties may apply; these are borne by the recipient.
Returns
As a consumer you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you receive the goods — no reasons needed. Details and the model withdrawal form are in our withdrawal notice (linked in the footer). Beyond that, as a courtesy we accept returns up to 30 days after receipt — an artwork should truly delight you. Contact us and we will find a solution.
My name is Greta Virzbickytė, and I have completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in the Department of Site-Specific Art at the Vilnius Academy of Arts.
About my practice
Chance, unpredictability, and intuition are among the fundamental principles of my painting. In the creative process, I let go of the desire to fully control the outcome: I allow the paint to flow in its own direction, to mix, and to create unexpected forms and colour combinations. A mistake or failure is not a deviation that needs to be corrected. On the contrary, it is an opportunity to discover something that cannot be consciously planned. Unpredictability in my paintings is not a random process, but a consciously chosen artistic strategy. It allows me to approach what is difficult to grasp or put into words: images from the subconscious, intuitions, and inner states. Forms that emerge intuitively take shape through colour and form. I recognise certain combinations not because I have planned them in advance, but only after they have appeared on the canvas — like an image that gradually becomes familiar. During the creative process, I sometimes feel the urge to control a painting in the same way I want to control my own life. Yet there are things that, as the process unfolds, begin to control me rather than the other way around.
About this artwork+
The painting presents an abstract landscape dominated by bold, fluid layers of color. The upper portion is a solid field of beige, beneath which lies a deep blue expanse, suggesting a tranquil body of water or a dusky sky. Overlaying this are streaks of what appear to be rain, painted in a dripping, vertical fashion with a rich golden hue, bringing a sense of motion and texture. Below the blue, there is a vibrant emerald green that spans across the canvas, reflecting the blue above it as if mirroring an aqueous surface. Interspersed are hints of yellow, creating a luminous effect. On the left, a splash of dark blue disrupts the green, injecting a dynamic contrast, possibly alluding to shadows or depths unseen. The overall mood is serene yet complex, inviting the viewer to ponder the quietude and perhaps the isolation conveyed through the interplay of colors and form.
