About this artwork+
The painting depicts a tranquil lake scene. You can see tall reeds swaying gently. They lean over the still water. Some leaves float on the surface, creating a mirrored effect. The colors are subtle; mainly greens and grays. A hint of pink flowers adds a soft touch of warmth. Gražina Murelytė Ajauskienė's style here is somewhat impressionistic. She uses loose brush strokes that suggest form rather than define it sharply. This technique creates a dreamy, serene atmosphere. Her choice of muted colors enhances the feeling of calmness. This painting invites the viewer to pause and reflect, much like a quiet moment by a lakeside.
