Gintas Banys is a painter renowned for his exceptional mastery of realistic painting techniques, though he does not adhere strictly to the realist tradition. Describing his creative impulse, Banys remarks, "I paint when I don't paint, I play when I don't play - this is my understanding of my mission in this life." In both his music and his painting, he prioritizes meaningful content, the conveyance of emotion, and carefully considered artistic expression.
Driven by a passion for experimentation, Banys often employs mixed media, embracing spontaneity and chance within his creative process. He values the act of creation as much as the finished result, continually drawing inspiration and motivation from this dynamic interplay. Banys’s paintings are found in private collections throughout Lithuania, Germany, the USA, and Switzerland, and he has held numerous solo exhibitions in locations such as Vilnius, Druskininkai, Šiauliai, Kaunas, Palanga, Varėna, Klaipėda, Kretinga, and Širvintai. Future exhibitions are planned for Trakai, Alytus, and Klaipėda through 2025.
