About this artwork+
The painting by Gerda Liūnė shows a cozy scene. A round table, orange with a floral pattern, is at the center. On it, there's a large white vase filled with vibrant flowers—red, pink, and yellow ones with lush green leaves. Next to it, you see a blue vase and two lemons resting on a plate. A cup of coffee sits nearby, steaming gently. An open book lies on the table. It displays a page with Van Gogh's famous work, "Starry Night," creating a connection to art history. Green leaves peek from the sides, adding more life to the scene. The background is a soft pink, which complements the table and flowers nicely. Gerda Liūnė uses bold colors and defined shapes, blending realism with a playful, almost abstract style. Her work captures a peaceful afternoon moment, inviting viewers to relax and enjoy the beauty.
