About this artwork+
This painting titled "Angel Spell" by Genutė Burbaitė features a dreamy, ethereal figure that appears to be an angel. The figure, with a gentle expression, is cast in soft, muted tones of white and gray, contrasting against a vibrant background of reds, golds, and greens. There's a sense of movement, perhaps suggested by the blurred lines and swirling color around the angel's wing and body. The style is impressionistic, focusing more on the play of light and color than on detailed realism. Burbaitė uses thick, visible brushstrokes to create texture and depth. Her work evokes emotion and a sense of mysticism, capturing the angelic theme beautifully. The frame itself, ornate and golden, complements the magical feel of the artwork. It enhances the richness of the colors used in the painting. Genutė Burbaitė’s art often carries a touch of the fantastical, and "Angel Spell" is a wonderful example of her style and thematic focus.
