About this artwork+

The painting "Wings" by Daliutė Ivanauskaitė presents a striking yet minimalist image. It features black brush strokes against a clean white background. The strokes curve and twist, hinting at a form that resembles a pair of wings. They also remind me of quick, fluid ink movements traditional in East Asian calligraphy. This simplicity captures a sense of motion and freedom. Daliutė Ivanauskaitė's style here is very expressive. She uses bold, flowing lines that communicate a lot with little. This minimalism isn't about showing every detail but rather capturing an essence or a moment. The painting feels both spontaneous and carefully planned. It's a beautiful representation of abstract art, where the viewer is invited to fill in the blanks with their imagination. This approach is typical of contemporary ink paintings that emphasize freedom of expression.
