The photograph itself is treated simply as a base material, comparable to an ingredient in a sophisticated chemical reaction. Through manipulation, layering, and transformation, she produces works that frequently bear little resemblance to their photographic origins. As an illustration, in her work "Paradise Apples," the striking red apples actually originated from a photo of a corner of a hot air balloon, exemplifying the transformative nature of her process.
This creative method not only astonishes her audience but also brings Dalia Bučytė deep enjoyment and involvement.
