Daiva Kibildytė is an artist living and working in Vilnius, Lithuania, where the city’s rich cultural scene continually fuels her creativity. Her artistic path began at an early age, when she attended a specialized school that emphasized painting and plein air, fostering her foundational skills and encouraging an appreciation for depicting her surroundings. These early experiences helped Daiva cultivate a sharp sense of aesthetics and sparked her enthusiasm for experimenting with a variety of styles and media.

She later advanced her artistic education at the Vilnius Academy of Arts (VDA), where she earned a master’s degree in design. This period of study honed her methods and broadened her comprehension of creative expression. Today, Daiva is recognized as an Art Creator, acknowledging her professionalism within the arts community. She remains dedicated to honing her craft, both independently and in collaboration with others.

Among the defining aspects of Daiva’s career has been her extensive work in television, where she was engaged in set design, interior spaces, and various artistic projects. These opportunities allowed her to examine how functional environments intersect with artistic vision, consistently challenging her to expand the limits of her creativity. Daiva finds stimulation in diversity and experimentation, constantly drawing on new experiences, travel, and her participation in exhibitions and artistic circles.

A deep connection to painting anchors Daiva Kibildytė’s creative journey. She considers every piece she makes a chance to build a distinctive, intimate universe where time and color take on extraordinary significance. Although she treasures the moments when her works resonate with others, she equally appreciates solitary hours in her studio, where she can restore her creative energy. For Daiva, sharing her art is not only a source of joy but also a wellspring of ongoing inspiration.

About this artwork+

This painting captures a serene water scene. It features large white lotus flowers in bloom. They float gracefully above broad, green leaves. Thin, vertical lines, possibly suggesting stems or rain, add a delicate touch to the imagery. The colors are soft and peaceful, with shades of blue, green, and white dominating. These calm tones contribute to the painting's tranquil title, "Divine Peace." Daiva Kibildytė uses clear outlines and a somewhat stylized form to bring out the lotuses and foliage. This style bridges realism and a decorative approach, making the painting both vivid and dreamy. Kibildytė's work here is soothing and beautiful. It draws viewers into a quiet, natural world.
